The Elves and the Shoemaker.

I apologize for the late submission of this task. I truly do.

I got really caught up with work where most of my time was spent at the office. I tried to get it done at the office by finding some time but unfortunately, my office PC was restricted to access any google services.

I know there is no amount of sorry that would make up to this. However, I still feel that I should apologize for the late submission. So here are my answers for The Elves and the Shoemaker short story.

1. What problem did the shoemaker have?
The problem that the shoemaker had was he has become so poor that at last, he has nothing left but enough leather to make one pair of shoes.
2. What did he do when he realized that he was in trouble?
When he realized that he was in trouble, he cut the leather into the shape of the shoes, and he left his work on the table to finish in the morning and as he went to bed to sleep he prayed to God for help.
3. What did the shoemaker find the first morning he woke up?
The shoemaker found a pair of shoes well made sitting on his table.
4. Do you like the story? Provide your reasons.
Yes, and I do find the story very interesting as the shoemaker and his wife really appreciates the elves and made clothes for them. In the end, the shoemaker didn't become entirely dependent to the elves and his business prospered. A happy and suited ending for both parties.

A Haunted House by Virginia Woolf

The story was about a person (the narrator herself) living in a house which she realized haunted by what she described as a "ghostly couple". The narrator stated that she can hear the ghostly couple talking to each other and was looking for something as it was clearly stated in this line:  ‘Here we left it,’ she said. Personal Reading Log Assessment 2: The Necklace The story was about Madame Loisel attending a ball with her husband and wanted to look her best for that night. She went through the distance in her effort to get the look she desired and have borrowed a necklace from her friend, Madame Forestier. Unfortunately, at the end of the event, she lost the necklace and this is where her action has set course for the story and had cost her dearly. If she had been honest with Madame Forestier that she had lost the necklace instead of buying a new one, she would have learned that the necklace she borrowed was made of fake diamond.
